The Beatles at Shea Stadium – August 15, 1965
It’s amazing what you can do with just crappy footage you find on YouTube. Different camera angles, differences in bootlegs, official and unofficial…. mostly unofficial. This is an Alpha version. That is to say… the object of this rough edit and “DE-EDIT” of other people’s crappy edits through the years… was to simply line up the video, and sync a fresh remix of the audio. This time I went a step further with a slight remix of the audio I did a few years ago and have provided a Dolby Surround track to match the footage.
What still needs a-doin’
There are some horrific edits (not done by me) that need to be replaced. Particularly the replacement shots of Ringo. Not sure who did it, or when in the history it was done, but I’ve spotted some on the original TV special as well. Some of the Super 8 footage and “FanCam” stuff needs upscaled. The whole project, when complete, will be converted to 60fps and will be at least 1080p, although much of it is, already. So… that’s the future. This is a sneak peak in 720p.
Hope you enjoy the progress as we go forward.
